A (very winding and occasionally narrow!) serpentine road leads to Masca—a tiny mountain village in the northwest of Tenerife, with traditional Canarian houses on green, palm-covered mountain slopes between terraced fields. Mountain, valley, or sea views—here you will find spectacular postcard scenes in abundance.
The most famous hiking trail in Tenerife also begins below the protected village and leads through the famous Masca Gorge to the beach. On average, it takes 3 to 4 hours to reach the sea. If you have driven to Masca by car, you will need to hike back to Masca as well! Alternatively, you can reach Masca by bus line 355 or by taxi and book a boat transfer from the beach to Los Gigantes for your return.

Tip: Masca is a tourist hotspot. Therefore, it's best to get up early so you can enjoy the drive and the stunning scenery before the crowds arrive.
