Punta de Teno

Punta de Teno is part of the Teno National Park and the westernmost point of Tenerife, with magnificent views of the cliffs of Los Gigantes and the neighbouring islands of La Gomera and La Palma. The cape is a popular excursion destination and boasts Tenerife’s most hours of sunshine per year.

To the left of the lighthouse, a wooden walkway leads to the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, with a boat landing stage and a ladder into the sea. In calm weather you can snorkel there, but watch out for the currents! There is also a small beach in the bay with breathtaking sunsets.

An access restriction protects the bay and lighthouse from overcrowding, so always check the current access times! The cape can also be reached by public transport—or by hiking through Teno Alto.
